I am Franziska Volmer. Diversely-experienced. Full of energy and passion for visual artwork. I love clean, considered design and believe small details make a big difference.

I love graphic design, whether it’s creating my own projects, looking at beautiful artworks, or visiting design exhibitions & talks to get inspired. I have a strong background in graphic design including branding, print design, and digital media as well as illustrations. For some projects, I also like to use motion to bring artwork to life, and lately, I have been experimenting with web design. I love to develop complex concept-driven ideas, simplify them for quick consumption, and to create public attention.

I love designing on the computer but I am also not afraid of getting my hands dirty and experimenting with mixed media. I‘m constantly setting up little projects for myself to improve my design skills and to stay up to date. This helps me thinking of better solutions and create new approaches with a fresh look and a unique touch. An important point to set the end result apart from others.

After two internships, my studies at Köln International School of Design in Cologne, a semester abroad at Parsons. The New School for Design in New York City and various freelance projects, I have gathered a lot of experience in many areas and the ins and outs of graphic design. I am always super motivated and looking for new challenges and more exciting projects on a freelance basis!
