Develop a visual identity and print materials for Schenk Lokal Köln, a platform offering gift vouchers for independent local businesses in Cologne. The goal was to create a comforting retro-chic aesthetic that communicates quality, warmth, and a strong sense of community. At the same time, the identity needed to function as a scalable system, allowing the logo to be adapted for different cities while maintaining a consistent and recognizable brand.
Schenk Lokal aims to support local shops, restaurants, and service providers by encouraging people to rediscover and spend more time in their neighborhoods, creating a network that strengthens local economies.
Local businesses in Cologne as partners, as well as customers looking for meaningful, locally focused gift options.
I explored retro-inspired design elements, combining warm color palettes and classic typography, to create a sense of familiarity and trust. The challenge was to balance a nostalgic feel with a clean, contemporary execution that works across different print formats.
The final result is a flexible logo system designed for scalability, allowing the Cologne Cathedral icon to be replaced for use in other cities. A range of print materials supports both customer communication and business onboarding. The retro-chic visual language conveys warmth and quality while remaining clear, functional, and rooted in local connection.
