Client: Stadt Jülich – Jugend Parlament
The Youth Parliament of Jülich needed a modern logo that reflects the city while maintaining a clear, credible, and professional appearance. The visual identity aims to represent a young yet serious organization.
Young people in Jülich who are interested in local politics, as well as citizens and institutions interacting with the Youth Parliament.
Different concepts were explored to integrate elements of the city, such as the outline of the citadel that appears in Jülich’s city logo. After testing several directions, the focus shifted toward a typographic solution to create a cleaner and more contemporary identity.
The final logo features a custom typographic design of the abbreviation JuPaJü. Its geometric construction gives the mark a clear and confident appearance. The colors blue and red reference the official colors of the city of Jülich, strengthening the local connection. A background rectangle adds depth and upward movement, while the umlaut in the Ü subtly resembles a smile, giving the logo a fresh and youthful character while remaining professional.
